Naarah has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years and currently owns a personal training gym in Midtown called Apollofit. During those years, she has worked with a broad spectrum of clients ranging anywhere in age from 10 to 90 years of age, covering a wide range of health and fitness goals. Naarah dedicates herself to motivating each client to live their best life now with a firm belief that any dream or goal can be achieved. She wants to be the guide to help each one of her clients to reach those goals. Naarah takes each client exactly where they are in terms of their physical abilities. Each person is different so each person is given a program that is designed specifically to their body. Naarah works with clients in her gym, at their homes, or even online through programming and video conference.
Naarah believes that we have this one life to live and we choose how the journey is to be lived. Once 80 pounds overweight in 2005, she set a goal of losing the weight and running her first marathon. After one year of proper nutrition and consistent exercising, Naarah trained herself to qualify and ran in the Boston Marathon. She continued competing in marathon running and qualifying for Boston for 9 years and then her passion led her to powerlifting where she won a National Championship in 2015 with State Record Deadlift 407# and Bench 187# , Chicago Fit Expo in 2016, and World Deadlift Championship (Tested) and World Record 369# in 2017 and has set numerous lifting records through USPA those years. Alongside her personal accomplishments, she finds her greatest success in her clients living their goals, setting world records, becoming champions, or getting stronger for their best life.
Naarah made her entire life about helping others even before she was a personal trainer. She was previously a high school math teacher and high school volleyball coach. Although she found that work rewarding, she was astonished by the physical ailments that kept so many from achieving their goals. She wanted to do more to help people regain their lives, so she returned to school and earning her certification as a personal trainer and coach through NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association). She has coached volleyball and powerlifting teams, worked with clients with disabilities and auto-immune diseases, and has helped many reach various goals from weight loss to competing or completing adventures.
She lives by the belief that:
"If you are passionate about achieving your dreams, nothing can stop you. The work is hard but it cannot compare to the feeling of living your dreams"
